A dental implant is a durable titanium root placed in the jaw to replace a lost tooth, and it restores both the look and the full function of a natural tooth. More and more patients are choosing Turkey because implants can often be placed in a single visit and cost a fraction of what you'd pay in the UK; many patients save well over half, even after travel.

A dental implant is a durable artificial root, made of titanium, that is placed in the jaw to replace a lost tooth. It helps from both an aesthetic and a functional perspective because it fully restores the tooth. Patients from other countries increasingly choose Turkey because implants can be placed quickly and cost far less than at clinics in the UK.
The first phase of the procedure, after surgical insertion, is osseointegration: the process in which the jawbone fuses to the titanium. This makes the implant a genuine part of your jaw rather than merely an artificial addition.
The second phase involves adding the crown, which can be titanium, zirconia or ceramic. The crown is fabricated from durable materials that mimic a natural tooth for longevity and strength, integrating seamlessly with your own teeth.
The titanium post that acts as the tooth root, anchored into the jaw.
The connector that caps the implant and links it to the crown.
The cap screwed onto the abutment that imitates your own tooth.
Fixes the crown to the abutment: either dental cement or a retaining screw.
The main options are the single implant, the implant-supported bridge, the same-day (immediate) implant, All-on-4, and All-on-6.
A single biocompatible titanium implant that serves as the root, surgically embedded in the jaw with a sturdy crown added on top. The crown can be zirconia, porcelain/ceramic, or metal.
Also called an immediate implant. By roughly halving the wait time, the dentist places the implant immediately after extraction and adds a set of temporary teeth until healing is complete, then attaches the permanent crowns. It isn't suitable for everyone and can carry a slightly higher risk than a staged implant, so suitability is confirmed at your scan.
Provides full support for a complete arch of teeth in the lower jaw, upper jaw, or both. The whole set of teeth is connected to four implants; this is why it is called All-on-4.
Also supports a full arch in the lower jaw, upper jaw, or both, but connects the set of teeth to six implants for enhanced stability.
The process of replacing all missing teeth and repairing chipped or damaged teeth through a combination of procedures, including implants. It may also refer to All-on-4 or All-on-6 when large areas of missing teeth need restoring.
| Treatment Type | Procedure Time | Back to Work | Complete Healing | Success Rate | Key Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single Dental Implant | 1–2 hours per implant | 3–10 days | around 4 months | 95.6% | Best for replacing a single missing tooth |
| Same-Day Dental Implant | 2–3 hours per implant | 3–10 days | around 4 months | 98.68% | Temporary crown placed the same day |
| All-on-4 Dental Implants | 4+ hours | 3–10 days | around 4 months | 99.8% | Full-arch restoration with 4 implants |
| All-on-6 Dental Implants | 4+ hours | 3–10 days | around 4 months | 98.0% | Enhanced stability using 6 implants |
Success rates shown are averages from published clinical studies (linked) and are not a guarantee of individual results; outcomes depend on your case.
The dental implant procedure typically involves five stages, depending on your case.
X-rays, 3D imaging and cone-beam scans evaluate your dental condition and map out the procedures you may need.
Once your oral health is confirmed suitable, the implants are surgically inserted: about 1–2 hours per implant under local anaesthesia.
Healing generally takes around 4 months, allowing the implant to fuse with the jawbone (osseointegration).
After healing, the abutment is placed and, once stable, a custom-made crown is fitted.
The dentist checks your bite and makes adjustments so the crown is comfortable and fully functional.
Immediate implants aren't for everyone; they require sufficient bone density and good general and oral health.
A sinus lift and bone grafting are usually needed when a patient has low bone density, which would otherwise affect the longevity of the implant. Your surgeon will confirm whether either is required from your 3D scan at consultation.
That said, although nearly all dentists routinely recommend grafts, graft material does not always dissolve completely over time, particularly around the neck of the implant, where residual particles can persist. This can interfere with osseointegration and, in a short time, actually stimulate bone loss. For this reason we assess every case individually and graft only when it is genuinely needed.

Published studies report dental implant success of roughly 95–98%, though the rate is lower when risk factors are present, and it rises sharply when treatment is carried out by an experienced professional. Understanding the factors below helps you protect your result.
Several factors can affect the outcome of an implant and lead to failure, including:
Skipping aftercare can compromise the implant: smoking, eating foods that pressure it before healing, or using abrasive cleaning tools all put your result at risk.
Outdated materials such as composite resin or polymers carry a much higher risk of failure than modern titanium and zirconia.
Implants usually need more than one visit. Missing a visit due to travel issues can leave treatment incomplete and risk failure.

Takes about 2 minutes; see what you qualify for.
The crown that sits on top of the implant is chosen during planning, based on the tooth's position, your bite, and your preferences. We'll explain which option suits your case at consultation.
One of the best natural-looking options; it mimics tooth translucency and is metal-free, avoiding any metal allergy concerns.
A great combination for an implant: you get the strength and durability of metal underneath, with a natural-looking porcelain surface on top.
Biocompatible, durable and long-lasting. The one drawback is that it isn't tooth-coloured, so it's not ideal for highly visible teeth.
| Material | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|
| Zirconia (Ceramic) | Strongest tooth-coloured option; long lifespan; biocompatible; high success in full-arch cases | Not as translucent as porcelain; tougher to adjust and polish |
| Porcelain Fused to Titanium (PFM) | Good blend of aesthetics and strength; long clinical history | A metal line can appear at the gum; porcelain can chip; not as aesthetic as zirconia |
| Titanium (Metal Alloy) | Best material for the implant itself; highest strength; biocompatible; long-term reliability | Not aesthetic; not used for visible crowns |
| Gold (Metal Alloys) | Most durable; very gentle on opposing teeth; excellent biocompatibility | Expensive; not tooth-coloured |
The most commonly used implant materials are titanium, zirconia and ceramics. Brands such as Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Astra Tech offer a range of abutment, implant and crown shapes and materials.
It's worth understanding brands, because they vary in price, quality and long-term reliability.

A Swiss manufacturer known for Roxolid implants: a zirconia-and-titanium alloy prized for strength and reliability.

In business since the 1950s and headquartered in Switzerland, and one of the most established implant brands in the world.

Astra Tech is part of Dentsply Sirona, one of the oldest names in dentistry; the company dates back to the first tooth prosthetics in 1899, and it offers a wide range of implant shapes and materials.
Little to no wait for treatment compared with the UK.
Highly trained dentists working in advanced, modern facilities.

Turkey is among the countries offering top-tier training and education for dentists and orthodontists, and invests heavily in its health system. When treatment is carried out by qualified, experienced specialists in accredited facilities, dental implants in Turkey can be a safe and far more affordable option than in the USA or UK.

Храни всю вашу команду господь Бог !Posted on Google Zoe LTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
